The Ukrainians Community Foundation of Philadelphia is pleased to announce the opening of the 2026
grant cycle. The Foundation offers support to community organizations throughout our region that serve
Ukrainians and Ukrainians-Americans both here and abroad.
When to apply: Funding proposals will be accepted through October 15, 2026.
Who may apply: Applicants must either be (i) recognized as a 501(c)(3) charity by the Internal Revenue
Service or (ii) sponsored by a 501(c)(3) charity that has agreed to assume “expenditure responsibility”
for the work of the sponsored entity or individual.
What kinds of projects do we support: While we will continue to support effective projects that have a
history of successfully serving our community, we especially encourage innovative proposals that seek to
address unmet needs of the community. The needs of recent arrivals and helping these Ukrainians
integrate into the life of our diaspora are always stop of mind at the Foundation. However, we are also
happy to support proposals that more broadly enrich the cultural and artistic life of our community.
Work with us to develop your proposal: If you are considering submitting a grant proposal, we request
that you contact a member of the Foundation’s Board of Directors to discuss your grant ideas before
submitting a complete application. You can find individual Board member contact links on the “About
Us” web page: https://ukrcfp.org/about/. Board members or a staff volunteer will work with you to
refine your application so that it will be more likely to receive funding. Please refer to our Funding
Evaluation Criteria: https://ukrcfp.org/funding-information/.
Submit your grant reports for prior year grants: If you are a prior grant recipient, please submit your
Grant Report for the previous year’s award before submitting the current year’s application. A template
that you can use is on the web site at: https://ukrcfp.org/grant-information/. You can refer to your
annual report or other information on your website to provide more general report information. The
Grant Report will help to demonstrate how your organization has achieved the goals identified in your
application. Your report also helps the Foundation demonstrate to governmental entities that our funds
are used in a manner consistent with relevant Internal Revenue Service requirements.
We look forward to hearing from you.
